X Thread Cleaner

This project turns a rough X thread or scattered post draft into cleaner, more publishable outputs without using a database.

What it does

• Rewrites a messy thread into a cleaner thread-first version.
• Generates a blog-style summary from the same material.
• Creates a LinkedIn-ready adaptation.
• Returns a short newsletter blurb and editorial notes.

How to use it

• Load /XThreadCleaner/ in your browser through MAMP.
• Paste the raw thread into the main textarea.
• Select the output focus, tone, and goal.
• Optionally add audience context and extra notes.
• Click Clean Thread.
• Review the modal output and copy the format you need.

OpenAI setup

• Open functions/config.local.php.
• Add your API key to openai_api_key.
• Optionally change openai_model.
• You can also provide OPENAI_API_KEY from the server environment.

AdSense setup

• Open functions/config.local.php.
• Set adsense_client to your publisher ID.
• Set adsense_sidebar_slot to your sidebar slot ID.
• If those values are empty, the app shows a placeholder ad panel instead.

Project structure

• index.php: main page and result modal.
• css/style.css: interface styling.
• js/app.js: frontend behavior, submit flow, and copy buttons.
• functions/api.php: server-side endpoint.
• functions/lib.php: validation, prompt assembly, OpenAI request, and helpers.
• storage/: logs and rate-limit storage.

Notes

• The tool is designed for English output.
• It uses file-based rate limiting and does not require MySQL.
• Longer, more detailed raw threads generally produce stronger repurposed outputs.
